This video shows two students of different gender, age and color using the same sort of assistive technology in the classroom (and life) to communicate with peers and others around them. The first students name is Ardarian Raymond, who uses the Dynavox technology to take a spelling test. Ardarian can communicate however it is difficult to understand him, and he also has very poor use of his fine motor skills, which is why Dynavox is very beneficial for him. The second student is named Sarah; she is in college. She uses the Dynavox to communicate with friends and teachers throughout her everyday routines. She uses the device more than Ardarian because its necessary for her to maintain her life, since she is living on her own in college. Both of these students have cerebral palsy, therefore this machine is very beneficial for others who have palsy as well, however it can be used for many types of disabilities in which communication or fine motor skills are poor.
